Ever watch those "TED" Talks? It's essentially a series of symposiums where rich people talk about things in front of other prosperous people. One was controversial. Nick Hanauer, a venture capitalist and founding buyer in Amazon, said that business people weren't really job makers - consum-ers are.
If people want a commodity, that demand gives rise to making a chain of supply. Executives and venture capitalists, in essence, have their jobs produced by the de-mand.

It seems sort of silly that 15,000 jobs could possibly be produced from one taco. Taco Bell does not explain how this correlates either.
When Taco Bell first started the taco, it was tested in a few areas where it was very successful. Then, it was re-leased throughout the whole nation. The one item made up a quarter of all Taco Bell taco sales, according to the Christian Science Monitor, and over 375 million were sold in 2012.
It costs under $2 to get the Dorito taco, which means you do not need a whole lot of personal cash to get the taco. It has 160 calories and 10 grams of fat in the Na-cho Cheese flavor. The Cool Ranch flavor, recently released, has 140 calories and 7 grams of fat.
Same task as McRib
Just like the McRib, people are going absolutely crazy over the Doritos tacos. It does not make any sense and is really kind of gross when you think about this, but apparently people love it.
