Many boys who have the love for cars have the desire of becoming car designers when they are young. many of them have no idea on how to realize this dream. However, realizing this dream needs proper training. Where does one get this training?

If you are considering on becoming a designer, then keep in mind that this is a competitive career. This requires a portfolio, a resume and maybe some professional job seeking training.

You'll probably want to visit this department and get to know how they operate first hand before you make decisions on where you want to go for your schooling.

What do you need to qualify?

Many design schools will test your artistic qualities. If you are in high school, then you need to major on the arts and master your math. You will be calculating 3-D volumes, aerodynamics, and model scales. You'll want to be able to speak another language. The reason for this is most of the design industry is international. Design school graduates might find themselves working in other countries.

You will also need to consider the fact that many of these courses take four years to complete. They typically steer you in the direction you want to go during the third or fourth year. Having these tips in mind will lead you to become the car designer that you so want.
